# Flexible Rating Systems

Most software forces you into an arbitrary 5-star rating system. But human taste is nuanced and context-dependent:

  • A great indie sci-fi movie feels like an S-Tier cultural moment.
  • A cozy neighborhood coffee shop feels like a ☀️ Sunny morning.
  • A draft proposal is either approved (○) or rejected (✗).

CherryPic offers 8 built-in rating schemes so you can rate items in ways that match your intuition.
